Adobe PDF Reader, Why Are You So Slow?

Ever since I installed Adobe PDF Reader version 6.0, I have dreaded opening any PDF files because I know it will take ages for the program to load. Pile on top of that the chance that my browser will crash if I open the PDF from a web page, and I am quite frustrated with this thing.

Finally, I have found a solution to this problem and it doesn’t involve getting in touch with Adobe nor does it involve arsen. Check out this free program I found.
Softpedia has a free program for download called Adobe Reader SpeedUp 1.29 that will automatically help you to remove unneccessary plugins from Adober Reader. You don’t have to worry about losing anything… because it also has a restore function.

Both free and full versions of Adober Reader can be fixed:

  • Adobe Acrobat 3.0 (experimental)
  • Adobe Acrobat 4.0
  • Adobe Acrobat 4.0.5
  • Adobe Acrobat 5.0
  • Adobe Acrobat 5.0 CE
  • Adobe Acrobat 5.1
  • Adobe Acrobat 5.5
  • Adobe Reader 6.0
  • Adobe Reader 6.0.2
