I always forget just how many people need to have their job done before the end of the year. Come the end of November, I remember real quick.
Seems that Half-Life 2 Mods For Dummies was pushed back a few weeks. Originally, Amazon.com reported the book to be available on December 26th. I looked back this past weekend and saw a new date of January 17th. Don’t blame me if you’ve been waiting on the release of this book. I did my part and the rest is out of my hands.
That issue I said I might have trying to get the game servers restarted (look back a few posts)…. well I figured out a solution. It took an hour of programming some test ideas and it worked. Basically, I created a PHP script that can automatically log into my server control panel and click the restart button. Slick!
