beyond the clouds

I’ve decided to finally purchase something that’s been on my mind for many years. I decided to purchase a telescope. My wife tells me that I’ve talked about owning one for as long as she’s known me, so I guess it’s been on my mind for a long time.

Now I don’t want something that allows me to see my neighbor the moon a little bit better. I want to see planets and gallaxies. So this is no small deal. After much research and deliberation, I’ve picked up a Meade LX200R 12″ and I’ve been receiving pieces of my order all week. Apparently it takes a while to ship and it doesn’t all come at once.

Expect pictures to get posted because I plan to do more than just look at the sky. I also ordered a few attachments to all for photography of those wondrous things out there.

   I’m one of those people that just stare into space, on the odd occasion that the clouds arn’t in the way. I really like it. I’ve been bugging my dad to buy a telescope. My nextdoor neighbour had one, but well, he kind of left it to rust after the lense cracked. Apparently he’s never heard of a replacement.

   I’d love to see some photo’s once you are all set up and ready.

   You know you wanted to advertise MODSonline. Well if you discover something new…… you know. lol.
